MICROTONAL GUITAR WORKS VOL.1 is a digital multi-album compilation release documenting 15 years (2001-17) of work since STEN HOSTFALT's 2002 solo album 29 Pieces For The Microtonal Guitar Live at Knitting Factory New York, described as genuinely innovative and in the future may be considered a groundbreaking work and one of the most riveting explorations of the microtonal world ever recorded as well as an intriguing recording that shows just how far and instrument can be bent and altered to meet a more experimental and adventurous need, taking you on a journey to a place where rules quite simply don't exist by Jazz Review, Signal To Noise Magazine and All About Jazz respectively.
The compilation contains complete original works commissioned by and world-premiered at the XXXV Encontre Internacional de Compositors Festival staged at Pilar i Joan Miro', Palma de Mallorca Spain. As well as works related to academic educational lectures and clinics at The New World School for The Arts ( University of Florida / Miami-Dade College ) Miami FL, Jon Damians Creative Workshop at Berklee College of Music and KMH Kungliga Muisikhogskolan, The Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
